XXXV TOURISTIC BIKE TRIP OF THE PORDENONE DISTRICT

PORDENONE PEDALA (Biking Pordenone) 

SEPTEMBER 9th 2007

RULE

1- ORGANIZATION : The Organizing Committee (Sportivi di Pordenone - Skating Club Comina) announces and organizes, on Sunday, September 9th, 2007 the traditional international tourist bike tour (non-competitive) named "Pordenone Pedala".

2- PARTICIPATION : Bike-tour participation is open to everyone, as long as in good health. Under-age participation is subject to parent signature of the participation form - or other adult assuming total responsibility - relieving the organizers from any and every judicial and moral burden deriving by any harm the participant could incur.
Children under 6 are allowed to participate but only if accompanied by parents or by an authorized adult who has to bear the entire responsibility. To wear a light bike cask is envisaged for everyone, particularly for children.

3- MEAN OF TRANSPORT : a bicycle of any kind, brand, epoch and style, provided it has brakes.

4- ROUTE: - Pordenone: P.le Risorgimento, V.le Dante, V.le Martelli, Borgomeduna,Via San Giuliano, Via Pola, Via Riviera del Pordenone, Via Codafora, Piazzale 4 Novembre, Via Cappuccini, Via Tessitura, Via Cartiera, Via della Fontana, Via Laghi (Porcia), Rondover, Prata di Sopra, Prata Centro, Puja, Villanova, Ghirano, Ponti di Tremeacque, Traffe, Pozzo, Pasiano (Refreshment Stop).- Km. 28. Pasiano, Sant'Andrea, Fagnigola, Azzano Decimo, Tiezzo, Cinque Strade, Corva, Via Nuova di Corva, Borgomeduna, Viale Martelli, V.le Dante, Parco Galvani), - Pordenone: total length 52 km.

5- SPEED : The maximum speed is 25 km/h. All the participants are intended to bike together and proceed in the same order and in the same group they were assigned to at the start. The Traffic Police and the ones appointed by the Organizing Committee can reduce or increase the pace, if necessary. The use of some "Wipe" trucks and buses (run-over trucks) is mandatory for those participants being too late or needing some help. Should their use be refused, participants will be considered excluded from the organized tour after the last truck has left. Participants are responsible for their own bikes. With this in mind no compensation at any title can be claimed against the organizers in case of losses, thefts of bikes or other objects.

6- ENROLLMENT : All participants must be enrolled and wear the personal dorsal number which has to be positioned and visible on their back. The Organizing Committee will provide everyone an envelope from "IBT Viaggi" containing :
1 tissue dorsal number by "Electrolux"
1 "Pordenone Pedala 1999" medal - Comune di Pasiano e Pordenone"
2 "Pordenone Pedala 2007 stikers - 35a Edizione"
1 copy of the rules of the tourism bike tour "Pordenone Pedala 2007".-
1 break-stop voucher "Pasiano" (Rifornimento Volante)
1 voucher "Pastasciutta Tomadini - Esercito (Italian Army)" - Parco Galvani Pordenone-
1 coupon "Bibita" (drink) - Parco Galvani Pordenone
The application and the € 6.00 (six Euros) participation fee payment, are to be made at the Organizing Committee seat (ph.# : 0434-211112) in Pordenone, V.le Trieste,8 "Cartoleria Demetrio "

(5000 participants will be accepted at the most).

7- STARTING OPERATIONS : The meeting and the starting operations will be held in Piazzale Risorgimento, from 7.00 am. The tour will start at 8.30 am.

8. SECOND START - After the break stop the tour will start again (Organizzazione "Apripista", Cicloturisti e Pattinatori), from Via Roma in Pasiano, with the following schedule:
09.45 - Arrival - break stop - meeting - start operations at Via Roma.
10.00 - "old fashion cars" start as "Road openers"
10.18 - Bike runners start 11.00 - "Skating Club Comina" skaters half marathon start

9- REFRESHMENT : To receive food and drinks at the refreshment point at "Sosta - Rifornimento" in Via Roma in Pasiano and at Parco Galvani Pordenone, participants have to present the vouchers they received with the enrolment envelope.

10- FINISH : The conclusion of the tourism bike tour will be inside the Galvani Park in Pordenone, where refreshments will be served and prizes given.

11- COURSE : The bike tour will be carried out regardless of weather conditions.

12-ROAD CIRCULATION RULES : Even if not explicitly mentioned on this set of rules, the Italian road circulation rules (Codice della strada) are in force.

13- The Organizing Committee declines any and every responsibility for eventual damages to individuals and/or objects before, during and after the ride/tour and in consequence of the excursion (including eventual losses or thefts of bikes and other objects).
